A regional First Nations Employment and Cultural Safety Forum was held at Knox City Council to help council Reconciliation and Human Resource Officers understand the importance and the approaches available to improve First Nations employment and cultural safety in councils.
The forum explored what Cultural Safety is and why it is important, and then considered approaches to support aboriginal employment.
Councils discussed what may be possible in their context and learned from each other’s experience.
